Halloween 2015

The twins picked their own costumes this year, which means they didn't match.  Elson was a shark and Emily was an LSU Golden Girl.  The shark was easy.  The LSU Golden Girl costume canNOT simply be purchased.  I had to hand sew Emily's entire costume.  It was truly a labor of love, but it was worth it because she looked ADORABLE.  In an effort to have some coordination, Drew went as a shark victim and I went as Mike the Tiger.

The Halloween festivities started at school on Thursday with their Costume Carnival.  Friday was the party at Drew's office, where they decided they wanted to do their first haunted house (thankfully, it wasn't too scary).  Saturday was Halloween day.  We didn't have a big party this year because our new house is on a busy street that isn't great for trick-or-treating.  We did however have a few friends come over and we walked over to Norton Art Gallery for their trick-or-treating in the museum.  While it was a good time, I think we will try to find a traditional neighborhood to trick-or-treat next year.  The most memorable event of the night was when Emily "college style puked" while trick-or-treating.  She literally ate herself sick with candy.  She managed to rally and finish out the night (and thankfully didn't get anything on her costume).
