A Family Visit

Last weekend, Nanny, Uncle Rudy, and Cousin Sophia came in from Texas for a visit.  We had such a great time catching up with them.  Emily was enamored with Sophia, and Sophia was so sweet to both of the twins.  It was a wonderful visit!!

Daddy's Little Helper

We have been wanting to keep track of the twins growth, so Drew decided to hang a board in their closet to mark their height every so often.  Elson was VERY interested in all of his Dad's tools and insisted upon helping him put the board up.  I'm sure Drew could have done the job a lot faster without the "help," but he was so patient and let Elson participate.  It was really sweet to watch.

18 Month Checkup

The twins had their 18 month checkup last week.  Both kiddos continue to move up on the percentile charts.  It's hard to get an exact measurement (especially on height), but we can use the numbers below as rough estimates.  I think it's safe to say they no longer qualify as preemies!

Weight - 22 lbs (40%)
Height - 31.25 in (35%)

Weight - 23 lbs 14 oz (45%)
Height - 32.5 in (50%)

A Visit From Grandma

Grandma came in town last week for a little visit.  The twins loved having someone new to play with and I enjoyed the break.  We went by the toy store on Friday and Grandma bought them a toy tractor with animals, which they have played with nonstop.  Grandma even babysat Friday night so that Drew and I could enjoy dinner and a movie.  It's amazing how much cheaper a night out is when you have a free babysitter!

Thanks for the tractor, Grandma!

Baby Camera

I have been wanting a video monitor for a long time, but have been hesitant because they are pricey.  After doing some research, I discovered that you can use an inexpensive web cam as a baby monitor and connect it to your I-phone.  Let's just say that I'm in love with my new baby camera.  Now I can check to see if they are fussing mid-nap for no reason at all or because they really need me.  It's fantastic!  We also get to see how much they hang out and visit before actually going to sleep.

Thank you Uncle Luke for setting up our new camera!

Phone Pictures

Better late than never.......Here are a few of my favorite phone pics from December.

Elson likes to carry around an old remote as a toy.  We were in Best Buy and he couldn't figure out why his remote wouldn't work on their TVs.

Snack time in a basket (that is an empty box of cold medicine that Emily is holding).

Bed head

They love each other!

Elson looks ready to hit the slopes.
